Nanga Parbat Base Camp Trek

Nanga Parbat base camp trek is a grand adventure in the himalayan region of Pakistan. More recently, it has become a very popular destination for mountaineering enthusiasts and trekkers from all over the world.

Nanga Parbat Base Camp Trek is no doubt one of the spectacular treks in the world. Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain in the world and the second highest in Pakistan after K2. It is Located in Diamir district of Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. Nanga Parbat is the western anchor of the Himalaya. It is separated from the Karakoram range by the mighty Indus River. It rises directly from the Indus valley.

Itinerary

Day-01: Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Welcome at Islamabad airport, and transfer to hotel. After refreshment proceed for city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which includes famous Faisal Mosque, Shakar Parian, Pakistan monument, Damen Koh, Lok Versa, Museum, Rawalpindi old bazaar, Raja Bazaar.

Day-02 Drive form Islamabad to Chilas

Drive to Naran 6-7 hours, 239 km, after lunch continue drive to Chilas 3-4 hours 113.3 km via Babusar Pass 4,173 m.

Day-03: From Chilas to Fairy Meadows

Drive to Raikot Bridge one hour, Jeep transfer to Tato village 15km, one hour. We start our trek from Tato village to Fairy Meadows for 2-3 hours 3306m, 5.5km. Have a Spectacular view of Nanga Parbat 8,125m, Raikot Peak 7,070m and Ganalo Peak 6,608m. Over night in huts

Day-04: Trek to Nanga Parbat Base Camp

Excursion to Nanga Parbat base camp 4200m, evening trek back to Fairy Meadows. Nanga Parbat is one of the eight-thousanders. An immense, dramatic peak rising far above its surrounding terrain, Nanga Parbat is also a notoriously difficult climb. Nanga Parbat was first climbed, via the Rakhiot Flank (East Ridge), on July 3, 1953 by Austrian climber Hermann Buhl, a member of a German-Austrian team

Day-05: Trek to Jiliper Peak BC & Fairy Meadows

Full day excursion to Jiliper Peak base camp, evening trek back to Fairy Meadows.
Here you have a closeup view of Ganalo Peak and panoramic views of other peaks of Nanga Parbat including the main Peak Nanga Parbat. Overnight in Huts

Day-06 Fairy Meadows to Chilas

Trek down to Tato village 2-3 hours and drive to chilas.

Day: 07: Drive from Chilas to Naran

Drive to Naran 355km via Babusar Pass 4173m. En-route stop at various viewpoints for photography and refreshment. Babusar Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.173 m (13,691 ft) above the sea level. The pass is the highest point in the Kaghan Valley, Pakistan. The pass connects the Kaghan Valley via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway. It’s one of the famous hair pinned roads in the world. Karakoram highway is the 8th wonder of the world.

Day-08: Drive from Naran to Islamabad

Drive to Islamabad 6-7 hours 239 km, en-route visit Taxila museum and historical sites. Taxila: Most of the archaeological sites of Taxila (600 BC to 500 AD) are located around Taxila museum. For over one thousand-year Taxila remained famous as a centre of learning Gandhara art of sculpture, architecture, education, and Buddhism in the days of Buddhist glory. There are over 50 archaeological sites scattered in a radius of 30 km around Taxila. In Taxila visit archaeological sites of Jaulian, Mohra Moradu, and Sirkap. Later visit. Taxila museum: A museum comprising various sections with rich archaeological finds of Taxila. It is one of the best and well-maintained site museums of Pakistan.

Day-09: Fly Back Home

Transfer to Islamabad airport for return flight.
